On October 22-24, 2013 the IV Ukrainian Grain Congress will take place in Kyiv (Fairmont Grant Hotel). The organisers of the Congress are the All-Ukrainian Public Association "Ukrainian Grain Association" and the Information-analytical agency "APK-Inform".
The potential investors and importers of grain and its products are invited to participate in the Congress.
The Congress will address the most pressing issues of functioning of Ukrainian and world grain markets, assess the factors that determine the conditions of effective grain trade in the Black Sea region, identify benchmarks of Ukraine's grain sector in the medium and long term perspective.
The IV Ukrainian Grain Congress will be attended by about 300 participants from all over the world, including the representatives from government and international organisations, producers, processors, exporters and importers of grain, as well as leading international grain market experts, analysts and scientists.
IV Ukrainian Grain Congress will be supported by the Administration of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA), the International Grains Council (IGC), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation (UAC), the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), the World Bank (WB), the Ukrainian-American Business Council (USUBC), the Agricultural Market Development Institute (AMDI), International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Business Association (EBA), the Chamber of Commerce of the United States in Ukraine (ACC), the USAID project "Agrolnvest".
I. Effective dialogue between agribusiness and government:
a. Analysis of the interaction of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of
Ukraine, EBRD, FAO, NGOs and representatives of agricultural business in the
past two seasons;
b. Government policy on grain exports for 2013/2014: expectations of agribusiness;
c. Implementation of the Memorandum between agribusiness and government about
cooperation in the grain market in 2013/2014;
d. Ways to increase investment attractiveness of Ukraine in agriculture.
II. Problems of the land reform and its impact on the development of agribusiness:
a. Purpose and principles of work the Land Bank;
b. Estimates of land relations and land legislation by agricultural holdings, farmers,
lawyers, bankers, and legislators.
III. Grain market in 2013/2014:
a. World Grain Market: challenges and risks;
b. Prospects for the world's major markets of grain and grain products consumption;

d. Ukrainian market: current estimate, balance, results of winter crops sowing in
