On February 28 – March 3, 2015 delegation of the CEC of Ukraine led by the Chairman M.Okhendovskyi hold a working visit to the Republic of Lithiania to observe and monitor the election process during the national local and mayoral elections.

Delegation of CEC of Ukraine had visited the polling stations in the Vilnius and Trakai localities as well as the main office of the CEC of Lithuania in order to observe the election process in real time and preliminary vote count.

On March 1, 2015 inLithuania was holding the local election and the first round of the election of mayors. For the first time in the history of Lithuanian the citizens elect mayors by a direct vote.
