On August 24, 2015 in the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania was held the festive event on the occasion of the 24^th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine with participation of representatives of Communities of Ukrainians from Vilnius, Klaipeda, Kaunas, and Jonava.

Сhargé d’affaires ad interim of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania A.Skliar addressed to the audience with a greeting speech, welcomed with the State Holiday and wished peace and harmony.

In the framework of the event took place a festive concert of the Ukrainian ensemble "Svitlytsya» (Vilnius) and representatives of Ukrainian community of Kaunas.

The event continued with informal communication and joint performance of Ukrainian folk and author songs.
