On September 21, 2015 was held a working visit of the Director of Directorate General for Policy and Communications of the MFA of Ukraine Oleksii Makeiev to Vilnius aimed at holding political consultations with the Political Director of the MFA of the Republic of Lithuania Rolandas Kačinskas. In the frameworks of consultations were held meetings of Mr. Oleksii Makeiev with Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Andrius Krivas and Director of the Eastern Neighborhood Policy Department of the MFA of Lithuania Jonas Grinevičius.

Within the visit Mr. Oleksii Makeiev had also participated in the meetings with the Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Lithuania on foreign policy Renaldas Vaisbrodas and Defence Policy Director of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania Vaidotas Urbelis.

During the meetings and negotiations the parties exchanged views on topical issues of both bilateral and regional agenda, and discussed the recent developments of security environment in regard with the ongoing Russian military aggression against Ukraine as well as certain aspects of cooperation the sphere of European integration.
