On November 23, 2015 inVilnius was held the solemn formation and parade on the occasion of the Lithuanian Armed Forces Day and the 97th anniversary of restoration of the Lithuanian Armed Forces.
The festive events were attended by the President of the Republic of Lithuania H.E. D.Grybauskaité, Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania H.E. L.Graužiniené, Minister of National Defence Mr. J.Olekas, Chief of Defence of Lithuania Gen J.V.Žukas, deputies of the Seimas and members of the Government of Lithuania, representatives of diplomatic corps, as well as the Lithuanian society and local media.
The military servicemen of the various branches of the Lithuanian Armed Forces and military units from the Great Britain, Latvia, Poland and the United States of America have participated at the parade.
On the invitation of the Lithuanian side the festive event was attended by Сhargé d’affaires ad interim of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania A.Skliar.
