On October 25, 2010 Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Sergii Popyk met with Minister of Energy of Lithuania Arvydas Sekmokas.

The actual issues of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, in particular the project of supply electricity from Ukraine to Lithuania, the establishment of practical cooperation on former Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in Lithuania between the Ukrainian and Lithuanian experts were discussed during the meeting.

Sergii Popyk conveyed the letter from Minister of Fuel and Energy of Ukraine Yurii Boiko adressed to Minister of Energy of Lithuania Arvidas Syakmokas with invitation to visit Ukraine.
