On January 19, 2016, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania V.Yatsenkivskyi met with the Head of the Union of the Communities of Lithuanian Tatars, representative of Mejlis in Lithuania, deputy general secretary of the executive committee of the World Congress of Crimean Tatars A.Yakubauskas.

The parties exchanged views on the situation in the Crimea after the occupation by the Russian Federation, the humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian citizens, suffered from the Russian occupation of the Crimea and the Russian military aggression in Eastern Ukraine.

During the meeting, the aspects of the cooperation in the context of the realization of the charity projects supporting the Crimean Tatars, implementing with the participation of the Union of the Communities of Lithuanian Tatars, were discussed.
