On January 27, 2016 the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania V.Yatsenkivskyi visited Kaunas to participate in the international conference "European Union Energy: Why do we need it and how can we make it work?", organized by the Vytautas Magnus University with support of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation.

In the frameworks of the visit the Ambassador held a number of meetings with conference participants, in particular, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Raimundas Karoblis, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania Rokas Masiulis, Rector of Vytautas Magnus University Juozas Augutis, Representative of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung offices in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and for Scandinavia Elizabeth Bauer and others.

         

         

 V.Yatsenkivskyi also met with Kaunas City Mayor Visvaldas Matijošaitis, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Kaunas Vygandas Blandis, as well as with Lithuanian volunteers and the representatives of local Ukrainian community.
