On April 24, 2016 at the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius a solemn prayer within the framework of the Pope Francisc's humanitarian initiative on holding the special charity events in the catholic churches throughout the Europe, aimed at collecting charity support for Ukraine was held. During the solemn prayer the special collection for Ukraine was conducted.

After the service, a memorial prayer for the victims of the Chernobyl disaster was held.

Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi addressed to the audience with a speech.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Vilnius Ukrainian Community and the Lithuanian community, as well as the Embassy staff together with their family members.
