Several documents on expansion of bilateral cooperation between the states have been signed in the presence of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė who is on a working visit to Ukraine.
The Agreement between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine and Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania on cooperation in the sphere of environmental protection has been signed by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ostap Semerak and Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Janukonis.
The Agreement is aimed to enhance cooperation in the sphere of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, as well as interaction with a view to resolve regional and global environmental problems.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and Ministry of Health of Lithuania has been signed by Acting Minister of Health of Ukraine Ulana Suprun and Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Janukonis.
The Memorandum shall promote the enhancement of cooperation with Lithuania in the development/reformation of the healthcare system of Ukraine, disease prevention and control, improvement of policy in medical sphere, medical and psychological rehabilitation. Cooperation will be carried out through the exchange of information, experience and experts, holding of training sessions and common research.
The Protocol on Cooperation between the State Labor Service of Ukraine and State Labor Inspectorate of Lithuania has been signed by Head of the State Labor Service of Ukraine Roman Chernega and Ambassador of Lithuania to Ukraine Marius Janukonis.
The document outlines forms of bilateral cooperation: exchange of experts, organization of workshops, participation in conferences and other events organized by the parties, exchange of information on employees who work in the territories of both countries in terms of employment.
The protocol also provides for the practical implementation of new standards of safety and health measures, state supervision in compliance with labor legislation and monitoring of relevant statistics.
