On September 11-14, 2017, the Fourth Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice "The Rule of Law and Constitutional Justice in the Modern World" was held in Vilnius, in which, together with representatives from more than 100 countries the Ukrainian delegation took part, headed by Acting Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine V.Kryvenko, the judges of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine Stanislav Shevchuk and Igor Slidenko, as well as the judge of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine in retirement Viktor Shishkin. This year's Congress organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Lithuania, together with the Venice Commission.
At the invitation of the Constitutional Court of Lithuania, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi and representatives of the Ukrainian Embassy participated in a number of events within the framework of the Congress.

During five sessions of the Congress, the concepts of rule of law and new challenges, the issues of the relationship between the law and the state, the rights and the individual, as well as the latest developments in the world in the framework of constitutional justice were discussed. In addition, the Ukrainian delegation participated in the work of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts and the Second General Assembly. As a result of the work of the Congress, the Vilnius Communiqué was approved.
As part of the stay in the Lithuanian capital, on the invitation of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania, Ukrainian delegation participated in the opening of the photo exhibition and attended the concert dedicated to the commemoration of the Ukrainian opera singer and military person Vasyl Slipak (who died in the ATO zone on June 29, 2016), which was held in the premises of the Vilnius Congress Hall on September 14, 2017.
