During the working visit to Lithuania, President Petro Poroshenko handed over high state awards to Vytautas Landsbergis and Andrius Kubilius for their outstanding personal contribution to the development of the Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations.

The Head of State said that he had the honor to award "the great sons of the Lithuanian people who have also done so much for the establishment, revival and development of the Ukrainian state".

He called it symbolic that the high awards of Ukraine were received by Lithuanians in the Ukrainian church - the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius.
