On September 17, 2019, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi together with Embassy staff took part in a presentation of a series of documentaries “Неzламні” (“Unbroken Women”), organized by Lithuanian activists.
A series of documentaries made by the Human Rights Group “СІЧ” tells the story of three women who, through their patriotic position, became victims of Russian aggression and were captured by militants.
The film was attended by the film's director Olga Bozhko (Volynska), director of the Human Rights Group “СІЧ” Dmitro Reva and one of the heroines of the series Anna Ilyushchenko, who was in Lithuania for rehabilitation after being injured and captured in 2014.
The event was attended by the Minister of Defense of Lithuania Raimundas Karoblis, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Lithuania, deputies of the Lithuanian Parliament, representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Lithuania, Lithuanian journalists, volunteers and servicemen, representatives of the Ukrainian community.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Ukraine sincerely thanked the Lithuanian state, people of Lithuania for the support and assistance provided since the beginning of the Russian aggression, and also stressed the extreme importance of work being done by Ukrainian activists to inform about the consequences of the Russian aggression in the East of Ukraine.
