On October 7, 2019, the diplomats of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania took part in the work of the delegation of the Dnipropetrovsk region, headed by Deputy Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Volodymyr Yurchenko, which met with the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania and visited the Military Rehabilitation Center Ukraine, which were injured during the Antiterrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation.
The delegation of the Dnipropetrovsk region also included the Chief Doctor of the Dnipro Regional Clinical Hospital named after I.I. Mechnikov Serhii Ryzhenko, rector of the University of Internal Affairs Andris Fomenko, honorary consul of the Republic of Lithuania in Dnipro Vitaliy Pivnyak and other officials.
During the meetings, members of the Ukrainian delegation discussed the experience of the Ministry of Defense of Lithuania in the rehabilitation of combatants, as well as acquainted with the conditions in which Ukrainian soldiers are rehabilitated.
During 2014-2019 period 268 Ukrainian servicemen received treatment and rehabilitation at the medical institutions of Lithuania.
