On October 13, 2019, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi participated in celebrations in Vilnius to mark two holidays: the Defender of Ukraine Day and the Protection of the Holy Virgin Mary.

The festive events included liturgy at the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius and flower laying ceremony at the memorial plaque of the Church’s founder – the Grand Hetman of Lithuania prince Kostyantyn Ostrozhskyi.

The Ukrainian community of Vilnius, Lithuanian activists and officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who study in Lithuania, staff of the Embassy of Ukraine took part in the events.
