On October 20, 2020, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi met with the Minister of Culture of Lithuania Mindaugas Kvetkauskas.

The meeting was also attended by the prior of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius, father Mykolai Ruslan Kozelkivskyi and the Deputy Minister of Culture of Lithuania Ingrida Veliutė.

During the meeting, the sides discussed bilateral cooperation in cultural and humanitarian spheres, and emphasized the importance of developing legal framework in that sphere.

They also exchanged their ideas on organizing and implementation of Ukraine-Lithuania projects in the near future, in particular, on preservation of common historical and cultural heritage.

The sides discussed the current situation and prospects of reconstruction of the Holy Trinity Church building in Vilnius – the main center of spiritual life of the Ukrainian community of Lithuania. The reconstruction is supported by the Government of the Republic of Lithuania.
