On March 23, 2021, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi held a meeting with the Prior of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius Father Mykola Ruslan Kozelkivskyi (the Order of St. Basil the Great).

During the meeting the interlocutors discussed the topical issues of further cooperation, in particular the organization and implementation of important education and culture projects in the nearest future.

Also they discussed the reconstruction of the building of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Vilnius, which is the main center of the spiritual life of representatives of the Ukrainian community in Lithuania.

The Church of the Holy Trinity was built by the Grand Hetman of Lithuania, Ukrainian Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozskyi in gratitude for the victory over the army of the Moscow principality in 1514 near Orsha.
