On April 15, 2021 the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi met via VTC with Mr. Rolandas Kriščiūnas, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania on Foreign and European Policies and Mrs. Galina Vaščenkaitė, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania on the Relations with the EaP Countries and Democracy Support.
During the meeting, a number of important issues of Ukrainian-Lithuanian relations as well as the forthcoming Ukraine Reform Conference scheduled for July 7-8, 2021 in Vilnius were discussed. The two sides also exchanged views on some topical issues of global agenda.
Ukraine’s Ambassador expressed the gratitude to the Republic of Lithuania for its solidarity, strong and unwavering support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders, which is especially important in these hard times marked by Russian military concentration both in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and along its state border.
The two sides also stressed the importance of ongoing Ukrainian reforms in the context of European and Euroatlantic integration of Ukraine.
