On March 13, 2020 the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine imposed temporary restrictions on entering the territory of Ukraine in order to prevent the spread of acute respiratory infection caused by coronavirus (COVID-19).

Starting from 00 hrs. 01 min (Kyiv time) on March 16, 2020 until April 3, 2020, foreigners and stateless persons will not be allowed to enter the state border of Ukraine, including transit crossing.

This restriction will not be applicable to foreigners and stateless persons of the following categories:

- employees of foreign diplomatic missions, consulates and representations of international organizations accredited in Ukraine, as well as members of their families;

- persons who have permanent or temporary residence permits in Ukraine.

The procedure of exiting of foreigners and stateless persons from the territory of Ukraine remains unchanged.

The citizens of Ukraine have the right to freely enter/exit the state border of Ukraine during the above-mentioned period. At the same time, a mandatory 14-day observation procedure will be applied to our citizens who will return to Ukraine from the countries where the cases of coronavirus infection (COVID-19) have been registered.
