On 9 September, the First Lady of Albania, Mrs Armanda Begaj, who together with the President of Albania is visiting Lithuania, attended the Ukrainian Center, where she met with the First Lady of Lithuania, Mrs Diana Nausėdienė, Charge d'Affaires a.i of Ukraine in Lithuania, Mr Viktor Hamotskyi, the spouse of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania, Mrs Hanna Beshta, and the Vice-Rector of Vytautas Magnus University, Mrs Vilma Bijeikienė.
During the meeting, the distinguished guests visited the exhibition ‘"Vyshyvanky born of war", got acquainted with the activities of the first open cultural and educational space of its kind in the EU, created under the patronage and initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska and the First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausėdienė, and had a conversation with temporarily displaced Ukrainians.
As Mrs Diana Nausėdienė noted: "The Ukrainian Centre aims to consolidate Ukrainian civil society in Lithuania, as well as to develop future Ukrainian leaders. We believe that the current visitors of the Centre will help Ukraine on its way to recovery and reconstruction'.
Charge d'Affaires a.i of Ukraine in Lithuania Viktor Hamotskyi welcomed the First Lady of Albania Mrs Armanda Begaj and thanked her for the meaningful attention and visit to the Ukrainian Centre, as well expressed gratitude to Mrs Diana Nausėdienė for the unwavering support and immense help to the citizens of Ukraine in Lithuania.
