Ukraine stands, Ukraine fights, Ukraine prays!
On September 27, the Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, visited the Ukrainian Center.
The First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausiedienė and Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Petro Beshta spoke more about the flagship cultural and educational space in the EU, which has become so remarkable and important for Ukrainians, during a meeting with His Beatitude Sviatoslav. The meeting was also joined by Archbishop of Vilnius Metropolitan Gintaras Grušas and Chairman of the Senate of Vytautas Magnus University Professor Ričardas Krikštolaitis .
The First Lady of Lithuania emphasized that because of the war, people especially need spiritual support and appeal to the highest values and ideals. That is why it is especially important that the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church is doing a great job in helping Ukrainians who were forced to temporarily leave their homes and seek refuge in Lithuania and other countries.
Also at the Ukrainian Center, the Father and Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav, met with the heads of Ukrainian communities and the leadership of schools operating in Lithuania for Ukrainian children.
During the meeting, His Beatitude Sviatoslav emphasized that the Ukrainian community and the Ukrainian school in a foreign land return the childhood stolen by the war to children. Addressing the representatives of Ukrainian communities in Lithuania, he urged everyone not to lose the linguistic and cultural wealth, which is a very powerful weapon today: "Do not squander the treasure of national culture. We, as the Church, are ready to help you so that you remain Christians, good people and rich, conscious Ukrainians."
