"Mom, I don't want war" - children's drawings instead of a thousand words
27 September 2022 19:05

On September 22, 2022, Ukrainian Ambassador to Lithuania Petro Beshta and Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Lithuania Ursula Doroshevskaya opened the exhibition "Mom, I don't want war! 1939-1945 Poland / Ukraine 2022".

Despite the 76-year interval between wars, we all feel horror deeply through the eyes of children.

The exhibition is part of the joint Polish-Ukrainian project "1939-45 Poland / 2022 Ukraine", which was commenced by the State Archive of Poland and the Ukrainian initiative ‘Mom, I see war’.

The exhibition presents drawings of Polish children from 1946, that reflect their experiences during the Second World War and the German occupation of 1939-1945, and modern drawings of Ukrainian children related to the war that are collected on the portal ‘Mom, I see war’.

You can get acquainted with the exhibition that is located near the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vilnius (Traku str., 7) until October 27.

The world must know the truth and remember that the war continues!
