On November 25 in Vilnius, near the monument to the victims of the Soviet occupation, a commemorative event was held on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine and commemoration of the victims of the holodomors of 1921-1923, 1946-1947 in Ukraine. The famine was the price paid by the Ukrainian people for the desire for freedom. 

In the framework of the event, the opening of the exhibition "Unconvicted genocide of Ukrainians is repeated", prepared by the Holodomor Museum in cooperation with the Center for Genocide and Resistance Studies of Lithuanian Residents, the Museum of Occupation and Struggle for Freedom of Lithuania, aimed at telling the world about the history of evil that was not punished and which returned today to complete what was started almost a hundred years ago. 

For the Ukrainian and Lithuanian peoples, there is no such thing as someone else's pain, we are united by the willingness to support each other and help. To defend the highest values that are common for us. 

Ukraine highly appreciates the solidarity and support of the fraternal Republic of Lithuania in condemning the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine, the official recognition of the Holodomor in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people by the Seimas of Lithuania in 2005. We are also grateful to Lithuania for recognizing the current inhuman crimes of Russia in Ukraine as genocide and calling for the establishment of a Special International Criminal Tribunal to investigate them.
