From the first day of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukrainian and foreign journalists have been showing the world the real barbaric face of the Russian army.
On September 16, the opening of the #OntheFrontlineOfTruth photo exhibition, which demonstrates the immense work of journalists and their arduous working conditions, took place in the Vilnius city railway station.
During the opening of the exhibition, Ukrainian Ambassador to Lithuania Petro Beshta stressed: "Contribution of journalists to Ukraine's struggle for freedom and independence is invaluable. For more than 200 days, they have been defending our state on the information front by deterring Russian propaganda machine. Their weapons are a camera, a microphone, and the truth."
Natalia Ligachova, the head of the Ukrainian public media organization "Detector media", Daiva Pivorunene, the head of the Asset Management Service of Lithuanian railway, and Gillian McCormack, director of Internews in Ukraine took part in the opening of the exhibition.
We are grateful to the public organization "Institute of mass information" and the International Organization ‘Internews’ for the realization of this important project, as well as to the support of the Lithuanian Railway and the Lithuanian Press Photographers Club.
