On November 24, 2020, the Defense Attaché at the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania Colonel Oleksandr Koberskyi was awarded with the “Medal for Merit” on the occasion of the completion of his duties in Lithuania in the Ministry of Defence. The award was presented by the Vice-Minister of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania Eimutis Misiūnas.

The award ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivskyi, who in his speech underlined the high level of cooperation between the defense ministries of Ukraine and Lithuania, which contributes to strengthening the combat capabilities of the armed forces and national security and defense of our countries. The Ambassador also thanked the Lithuanian side for rehabilitation of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wounded in the Anti-Terrorist Operation and the Joint Forces Operation in the east of Ukraine. The Lithuanian side, in return, stated that rehabilitation shall continue after the end of quarantine restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
