On October 17, within the framework of the 43rd session of the Baltic Assembly, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania, Petro Beshta, on behalf of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, received the high award – the Baltic Assembly Medal, awarded to the Head of the Ukrainian State.
This award is a testament to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's personal role, his leadership, and dedication to achieving a common victory over a common enemy – an enemy that threatens not only Ukraine but, in coalition with other authoritarian regimes, endangers the entire free world.
During the award ceremony, the Ambassador of Ukraine expressed deep gratitude to the Baltic Assembly for its unwavering solidarity and strong support for Ukraine. He stated: "I am convinced that this honorary award is dedicated to all freedom fighters – to the Ukrainian people, our brave soldiers, our true friends, and partners. Such as Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia – the Baltic states, which from the first days of this bloody war have stood up to defend our freedom."
In his speech, Petro Beshta emphasized that Ukraine's victory is important not only for Ukraine – it is crucial for Europe, for democracy, for all who value security and peace. He noted that victory will be achieved only after the final defeat of the enemy on the battlefield and the establishment of a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula.
Moreover, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania emphasized the Victory Plan presented by the President of Ukraine, which aims not only to strengthen Ukraine's positions in critically important areas but also to build a position of strength for the entire Euro-Atlantic community. This plan is a bridge to the second Peace Summit, which will put a fair end to this aggression.
