On September 20, 2013 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Valerii Zhovtenko took part at the Closing Ceremony for Provincial Reconstruction Team’s project for Lithuanian Troops returning from mission of the International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Lithuanian authorities, as well as of diplomatic staff and the corps of military attaché, accredited in Lithuania.

During the ceremony Minister of National Defence of Lithuania Juozas Olekas expressed his gratitude to missions of all states, which had participated in the Lithuania’s PRT in Afghanistan, particularly Ukraine, for significant contribution to the International Security Assistance Forces.
