On June 15, 2011 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Valerij Zovtenko met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Audruniua Azubalis.

Ambassador of Ukraine and the Lithuanian Foreign Minister discussed the topical issues of strategic partnership between both states in political, economic, humanitarian spheres.

The development of active political dialogue on the highest level, including the preparation of the official visit of the President of Lithuania to Ukraine and the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania planned in November 2011 were also discussed during the meeting.

Special attention was paid to the interaction between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Lithuania, in particular in the framework of such international organizations as the OSCE and the Council of Europe.
