On June 2, 2011 a solemn ceremony of presenting the Letters of Credence of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine Valerij Zovtenko to President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite took place in Vilnius.

After the ceremony the Ambassador of Ukraine and the President of Lithuania discussed the topical issues of strategic partnership between both states in political, economic, humanitarian spheres, regional policy and the Ukrainian-Lithuanian interaction in the framework of such international organizations as the OSCE and the Council of Europe..

The development of active political dialogue on the highest level, including the preparation of the official visit of the President of Lithuania to Ukraine and the Council of Presidents of Ukraine and Lithuania planned in November 2011 were also discussed during the meeting.
