On 22nd January, the Day of Unity of Ukraine, Ukrainians, and our Lithuanian friends formed a Chain of Unity on one of the main squares of the Lithuanian capital, as a sign of unbreakable strength and togetherness!
The action took place during the 83rd rally in support of Ukraine in the anti-Russian war, organized every Monday by Arkadijus Vinokuras to ensure that Ukraine is remembered and heard from the very first days of the atrocious war until we reach the complete victory over the enemy.
Addressing the participants of the solidarity demonstration, Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Petro Beshta said: "In order to preserve and protect our statehood, sovereignty and freedom, we need unity. This is what history teaches us, and Ukrainians have learnt this lesson well. In 2022, every Ukrainian stood up to defend our freedom, and we showed the world what Ukrainians are capable of. Our soldiers and their determination have been inscribed in the history of Europe. Today, unity is important to all of us - the unity of all Ukrainians in Ukraine and abroad."
The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic, Žygimantas Pavilionis also addressed the participants of the demonstration: "I emphasise once again that there is no such division as East, West, North and South. We are all united and Ukraine's victory will be our common victory over the ruzzian regime. Ukraine will definitely become the 33rd member of NATO! This is a beautiful number, the number of Christ! Therefore, Ukraine has been liberating our world from absolute evil. Glory to Ukraine!"
Father Mykola, a representative of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity, joined the event to congratulate the participants on the Day of Unity of Ukraine.
Unity is not only the memory of the common past, but also mutual fruitful work for the future, both on the battlefield and in the forefront.
Our unity is our fundamental weapon!
We are immensely grateful to everyone who participated!
