On May 5, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Valerii Zhovtenko participated in the festive event, arranged by the Government of Lithuania, on the occasion of the 10^th anniversary of the membership of the Republic of Lithuania in the European Union.

The event was attended by members of the Government of Lithuania, representatives of Lithuanian ministries and agencies, deputies of the Seimas, representatives of the EU institutions, as well as diplomatic corps and the Lithuanian mass-media.

Welcome addresses were delivered by the Prime Minister of Lithuania Algirdas Butkevičius, Vice-Speaker of Seimas of Lithuania Gediminas Kirkilas, and the leader of the parliamentary opposition party “Homeland Union - Lithuanian Christian Democrat” Andrius Kubilius.
