On May 6, 2014 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Valerii Zhovtenko participated in the festive session of the Seimas of Lithuania on the occasion of the 10^th anniversary of the membership of the Republic of Lithuania in the European Union.

The session was attended by the high-ranking officials and members of the Government of Lithuania, representatives of Lithuanian ministries and agencies, deputies of the Seimas, representatives of the EU institutions, as well as diplomatic corps and the Lithuanian mass-media.

Welcome addresses were delivered by the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitè, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Lithuania, Member of EP for Lithuania Vytautas Landsbergis, and former President of the European Parliament Pat Cox.
