Comment of the MFA of Ukraine on adopting the special Resolution by the European Parliament on Russia, first of all, in regard with the cases of Eston Kohver, Oleg Sentsov and Olexandr Kolchenko of September 10, 2015

On September 10, 2015 the European Parliament adopted the special Resolution on Russia with strong condemnation of the illegal detention and sentencing of the citizen of Estonia Eston Kohver, and citizens of Ukraine Oleg Sentsov, Alexander Kolchenko and Nadiya Savchenko in the Russian Federation.
Ukraine considers the Resolution of the European Parliament to be an important message of the all-European solidarity and uncompromising in the struggle with the crimes against humanity.
We urge once again the Russian authorities to release the political prisoners, and we support the call of the European Parliament to implement sanctions against those Russian officials, responsible for abducting and illegal detainment of the citizens of Ukraine and the EU.
