On October 9, 2015 in the town of Šeduva, Radviliški region, the Republic of Lithuania were held commemorative events on the occasion of the unveiling ceremony of Monument for all Šeduva Jews, created under the “Lost Shtetl” project, for the memory of mass murder of Jews during the Second World War.
The event was attended by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. A.Butkevičius, the Vice-minister for foreign affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. M.Bekešius, chairmanship of both town of Šeduva administration and “Šeduva Jewish Memorial Fund”, representatives of diplomatic corps accredited to the Republic of Lithuania, the leaders of the Lithuania’s Jewish community, as well as the Lithuanian society and local media.
On the invitation of the Vice-minister for foreign affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. M.Bekešius the memorial events were also attended by Сhargé d’affaires ad interim of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania A.Skliar.
