On September 3, 2012 Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Valerii Zhovtenko met with Edminas Bagdonas, Director of Eastern Neighbourhood Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.

The actual issues of bilateral relations and the cooperation between the Foreign Ministries both countries were discussed during the meeting.

Particular attention was paid to the process of preparation to approaching bilateral visits, including the visit of the President of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania and the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania to Ukraine.

The sides discussed cooperation between the two countries in the process of Ukraine’s European integration, including the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement and further liberalization of visa regime for Ukrainian citizens.
