The Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania: "Each Ukrainian release is the heroic work of a heroic team"
05 May 2023 12:00

On May 4, the Days of Ukrainian Cinema opened in Lithuania.

The first film of the Ukrainian film festival, which was presented to the audience, was the film A House Made of Splinters, nominated for this year's award of the American Film Academy - Oscar 2023. And even if the film did not win an Oscar, the best Oscar is full audiences, solidarity, and constant help to Ukraine.

Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania, Petro Beshta, noted during the opening: "It is difficult to imagine what work was done, what effort it cost to make new Ukrainian films see the light of day. Therefore, it would be fair to call every Ukrainian release a heroic work of a heroic team."

Days of Ukrainian Cinema is not only a screening of new Ukrainian films but also a testimony to the power of the art that unites people. The funds received from the sale of tickets will be transferred to the special fund of the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania "Aš Esu Ukraina".

We sincerely thank the organizer of the Ukrainian Film Days, Ms. Anna Burdinia, for her tireless efforts to bring the best examples of Ukrainian cinema to Lithuania. I also thank all the partners of the project - the SKALVIJA cinema, the Ukrainian Center, and the Ukrainian House in Lithuania.
