The head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Major General Kyrylo Budanov, held a meeting with Andrius Tapinas, a public figure, active volunteer, and ambassador of the Program of the President of the Republic of Lithuania "For a Safe Lithuania".

After the beginning of the full-scale war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Andrius Tapinas is engaged in volunteer activities on a public basis to collect funds for the purchase and transfer of both humanitarian and military aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Lithuanian public figure initiated and conducted successful fundraising campaigns during 2022-2023 for the purchase of the Bayraktar strike-reconnaissance drone of the Ukrainian army, as well as for the purchase of radars for the Armed Forces for a total of 14,000,000 euros.

The other day, Andrius Tapinas arrived in Ukraine with another load of aid from the Lithuanian people.

The head of military intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, expressed gratitude to Lithuanian friends for important military equipment, which will significantly strengthen the units of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which oppose the Russian invaders on the front lines of defense.

"The help of the Lithuanian people to the Ukrainian people has not stopped during all the years of the war, and this is impressive. We greatly appreciate your tremendous support in the war against the insidious, misanthropic, aggressive Moscow. Our victory will be common!", Major General Kyrylo Budanov emphasized.
