On 14 October, at the initiative of the Ukrainian House NGO and with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania, a constituent conference dedicated to Yevhen Konovalets was held, with the main topic of which was countering Russian hybrid aggression and propaganda. The event was held at the Tuskulienė Memorial Complex.

Among the participants of the conference were Ambassador of Ukraine Petro Beshta, Minister of Defence of Lithuania Laurynas Kasčiūnas, Director of the Institute of World Policy Yevhen Magda (online), Major General of the Security Service of Ukraine Viktor Yahun, historian Oleksandr Kucheruk, Ukrainian military and students of the International Ukrainian School.

In his speech, Ambassador Petro Beshta thanked the initiators and organizers of the event for supporting the important topic of the fight against Russian aggression and stressed that despite all the challenges, we are inspired by the common pages of the history of Ukraine and Lithuania. He emphasized that historical events and figures such as Yevgeniy Konovalets are examples of the long-standing partnership between Ukrainians and Lithuanians in the joint struggle against Russian imperialism. Yevhen Konovalets' experience in creating an underground network, intelligence and diplomatic activities, and countering Moscow's propaganda is extremely relevant today, and the OUN slogan ’Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!’ motivates the fighters for Ukraine's independence today.

The Minister of Defence of Lithuania, Laurynas Kasčiūnas, supported the expert discussion of the historical lessons of the fight against Russian aggression and stressed that Lithuania would continue to provide Ukraine with comprehensive support until the final victory over the common enemy.

During the conference, Ukrainian soldier Mykhailo Grechykhyn handed over to the Minister of Defence of Lithuania the battle flag of the 58th Ivan Vyhovsky Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a symbol of gratitude to the Lithuanian people for their military assistance in the fight against the aggressor.

An unexpected moment was when Mykhailo Grechikhin was handed the keys to an off-road vehicle for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine by the head of the Ukrainian House, Viktor Chernyshuk.
