We are strong. We are alive. We are Ukrainians. We cherish our culture and do what we love: bake bread, play bandura, write poetry, paint petrykivka or cook delicious dishes. We create our own identity. We remained unbreakable, despite the terrible things that the Ukrainian people had to endure. 

On November 26, during the commemoration of the victims of the Holodomor in Ukraine, the idea of the invincibility of the Ukrainian people was recreated by Ukrainians who joined the unique performance "Alive". The participants told their own stories and demonstrated the part of the original Ukrainian culture that is of particular importance to them. 

Ukrainians gathered in the Ukrainian Center as heirs of rich Ukrainian culture, art and life. Some of them lost their relatives during the Stalinist genocide, while others were left without a home this year because of the descendants of the totalitarian Soviet regime.

The event was attended by honored guests - First Lady of Lithuania Diana Nausėdienė, as well as Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Petro Beshta and Rector of Vytautas the Great University Juozas Augutis. Guests of the Ukrainian Center lit candles of remembrance at the end of the performance.
