On November 9, a large convoy of aid for our defenders set off from Independence Square in Vilnius to Ukraine. This large-scale project became possible thanks to Lithuania's unique fundraising campaign, "The Great Convoy."
The goal of the campaign is to provide Ukrainian soldiers with everything they need for the winter period. Thanks to the impressive €265,800 raised over the past month, the convoy was equipped with generators, thermal imagers, portable batteries, energy drinks, winter clothing sets, and other essential supplies, which will be delivered directly to the frontline.
Today, during the convoy's departure, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Lithuania, Petro Beshta, stated: “This is yet another example of an incredible project implemented by Lithuania in support of Ukraine. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers, organizations, and the Lithuanian society who united for one purpose — to support our defenders in this extremely challenging time.”
The success of this campaign would not have been possible without the joint efforts of all the Lithuanian organizations involved! This convoy, which departed for Ukraine today, carries not only critical supplies and equipment but also a message. A message that Lithuania, a nation of freedom-loving people, steadfastly stands with Ukraine. Together, toward our shared victory!
Šlovė Lietuvai! Glory to Ukraine!
