On October 15, 2024, the Vytautas Kasiulis Art Museum of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art hosted the opening of the exhibition "I Gift You Sunlit Art" featuring works by Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko. The exhibition is held under the patronage of Mykola Tochytskyi, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, and Simonas Kairys, Minister of Culture of Lithuania.
Maria Prymachenko is a phenomenon in Ukrainian art. With her bright and extraordinary paintings, she created a unique world full of imagination and love for life. "I want people to live and bloom like flowers," the artist once said. In today's world, dominated by wars and instability, Maria Prymachenko's words remind us of what matters most — peace, tranquility, and the right of every person to live happily, freely, and independently, like a flower in the sunlight.
The event was attended by Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Petro Beshta, Director of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art Arūnas Gelūnas, Director of the Zaporizhzhia Art Museum Inha Yankovych, Director of the Borys Voznytskyi Lviv National Art Gallery Taras Vozniak, Director of the Vytautas Kasiulis Art Museum Ilona Mažeikė, Honorary Consul of Lithuania in Luhansk Oblast Robertas Gabulas, representatives of the Ukrainian community in Vilnius, Lithuanian public, students and teachers of the International Ukrainian School, and Ukrainian citizens temporarily residing in Lithuania.
Don't miss this unique opportunity to get closer to the art of this legendary Ukrainian artist! The exhibition runs until March 2, 2025.
