Lithuania with Ukraine! World with Ukraine!

February 24, 2023, is the day of our unity around victory.

A year after the start of the full-scale russian invasion of Ukraine, thousands of people across Lithuania took to the streets and squares of their cities to once again demonstrate that our country is not alone in the fight against the aggressor and to show how powerful Ukraine's support is. The largest solidarity event took place in the heart of Vilnius on Cathedral Square, during which a procession with 50-meter flags of Ukraine and Lithuania took place.

Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė, Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, US Ambassador to Lithuania Robert S. Gilchrist, swedish Ambassador to Lithuania Inger Buxton, Professor Dainius Žalimas, head of the Blue/Yellow organization Jonas Ohman and head of the 1K organization Oleg Shuraev addressed the participants with words of support for Ukraine.

‘Glory to Ukraine!’ was heard on the square in Lithuanian, Irish, Norwegian, Romanian, Italian, Spanish, Czech, Croatian, English, Polish, Dutch, Swedish, French, Finnish, Latvian, Estonian, Japanese, and Georgian!

Unity and invincibility are what gave us the strength to endure this year. And this is what will allow us to win this bloody war to share a victory with our Lithuanian friends.

We sincerely thank the brotherly Lithuanian people for their unprecedented support from the first minutes of the russian federation's full-scale war against Ukraine, and their unchanging solidarity and faith in the peaceful future of Ukraine, Europe, and the whole world!
