On the initiative of the leadership of Kharkiv self-defense forces, at the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania, Lithuanian volunteers and public activists were awarded with commemorative medals - "Volunteer of Ukraine" - for their significant contribution to the fight against russian military aggression, strengthening the technical and mobile capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as significant humanitarian and informational assistance to Ukraine.

The award ceremony took place on August 29, the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine. Volunteers of the Lithuanian Riflemen's Union and the Yevhen Konovalets Charitable Foundation in Lithuania together with the Embassy representatives honored the memory of all the fallen Heroes who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
