On September 27, 2022, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition "chronicles of the Russian invasion of Ukraine 2022: the beginning" was held in Seimas of Republic of Lithuania. The photos of the exhibition were taken by Ukrainian photojournalist Max Levin, who was killed by the Russian military while performing his professional duties.
Photojournalist and documentary photographer Maxim Levin had worked particularly with Reuters, the BBC, The Associated Press, LB.ua and hromadske. During the first five days of the Russian full-scale invasion in Ukraine, he published photo reports from at least seven hot spots in different parts of the country: from Kharkiv to Vasylkiv and several settlements in the Irpen and Zhytomyr directions.
Communication with Max Levin was lost on March 13, when he went to the village of Guta-Mezhyhirska, Vyshgorod district in Kiyv region, to document the consequences of Russian aggression. On April 1, after a long search, police found the body of a photojournalist with gunshot wounds. The prosecutor's office is investigating his death. According to preliminary data of investigators, Russian military killed unarmed Max Levin with two arms shots. Max Levin is survived by four minor sons, civil wife and elderly parents…
