On May 25, the information center of the Lithuanian Partisans Memorial in Kryžkalnis hosted the opening of the photo exhibition "Ukraine. Struggle for Freedom". 

The exhibition features documentary photographs taken by the spouses of war correspondents Konstantin and Vlada Liberov over the past two years in frontline cities and on the front line. Since the first days of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the couple has been shedding light on what is happening in Ukraine through the lens of a camera. 

The opening of the photo exhibition took place within the framework of the event "Signs of Freedom: Past, Present, Future" dedicated to the memory of Lithuanian freedom fighters, exiles, political prisoners, partisans, and the 10th anniversary of the death of Alfons Svarinskas, a prominent Lithuanian religious leader, dissident, political activist and military chaplain. The event at the Lithuanian Partisans Memorial in Kryžkalnis began with the Lithuanian anthem and the raising of the Lithuanian flag, followed by the Ukrainian anthem and the raising of the Ukrainian flag.

During the event, Deputy Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Viktor Hamotskyi delivered a welcoming speech and expressed his gratitude to the Lithuanian people for their continued support and exceptional solidarity with Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor. 

The event was attended by the Vice Speaker of the Seimas Paulius Saudargas and members of the Lithuanian Parliament, the Mayor of Raseiniai district Arvydas Nekrošius, and representatives of the municipality, the head of the Ukrainian Community in Vilnius Natalia Šertvitienė, as well as residents and guests of the district.
