Two years have passed since russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine - a day that not only changed the modern history of our country, but also influenced the history of the entire European continent and the world.
To mark two years since the beginning of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, thousands of people across Lithuania went to the streets and squares of their cities to demonstrate once again that our country is not alone in the fight against the aggressor and to show how strong the support for Ukraine is. The largest solidarity event took place in the heart of Vilnius - the Cathedral Square, during which a procession with 50-meter flags of Ukraine and Lithuania was held.
The Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania Ingrida Šimonytė, the Chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, and the head of the “Blue/Yellow” organization Jonas Ohman addressed the participants of the event with words of support for Ukraine. The chant "Glory to Ukraine!" was heard in dozens of languages.
We sincerely thank the brotherly Lithuanian people for their unprecedented support from the first minutes of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, their unwavering solidarity and faith in the peaceful future of Ukraine, Europe and the entire world!
We believe in Ukraine - together we will fully restore the territorial integrity and peace in Ukraine and Europe.
Dėkojame Lietuvai už istorinę paramą!
