On September 20, 2010 Serhii Popyk, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Lithuania, met with Acting Director of the State Inspection on Security of Nuclear Energy of the Republic of Lithuania V.Paulikas.

During the meeting S.Popyk discussed issues on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the sphere of nuclear energy and presented to V.Paulikas the draft Agreement between the State Committee on Nuclear Regulation of Ukraine and State Inspection on Security of Nuclear Energy of the Republic of Lithuania on information exchange and cooperation in the sphere of security regulation in exploration of nuclear power in peaceful means. Representative of both sides expressed their interest in signing this bilateral document during the official visit of Victor Yanukovych, President of Ukraine, to the Republic of Lithuania this autumn.
