On April 4, 2025, Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on a residential area in Kryvyi Rih. 20 people were killed. Nine of them were children. Another 75 were injured. It was a deliberate strike on children, on families, on the very right to life.
In these days of mourning, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, visited the Embassy of Ukraine in Lithuania. He met with the Ambassador of Ukraine, Olha Nikitchenko, and left a message in the Book of Condolences – as a sign of deep solidarity with the families of the victims and with the entire Ukrainian people.
"We mourn together with those who lost their loved ones and express solidarity with all those affected by this senseless act of violence. This brutal and cynical terrorist attack on peaceful civilians, including children, once again reminds us why we must continue fighting for Ukraine’s victory," wrote Kęstutis Budrys.
We express our sincere gratitude to Lithuania and the Lithuanian people – our true friends who have stood firmly with Ukraine from the very beginning of this unjust aggression and especially in such tragic days.
Eternal memory to all whose lives were taken by this war. We remember. And we will not forgive.
