On April 6, for the first time in Alytus, the presentation of the cultural and educational space of the Ukrainian Center, created in Lithuania under the patronage of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, and the First Lady of Lithuania, Diana Nausėdienė, took place.

‘We feel the need to spread the unique activity of the Ukrainian Center throughout Lithuania, which is why we are visiting Alytus today. We want the services, mutual assistance, and support of the Ukrainian Center to help not only the Ukrainian community living in the capital or its surroundings but also those who have settled in other parts of Lithuania,’ the First Lady of Lithuania emphasized during the event.

 During the event, Mrs. Diana Nausėdienė spoke about the Books without Borders Initiative of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. After the event, the little visitors, as a gift, received Ukrainian books.

‘Today, the Ukrainian Center is traveling to the regions of Lithuania for the first time. I am sure that getting to know its activities and participating in various activities will be an interesting experience for everyone, an opportunity to find like-minded people and friends, and will help to further build an active community of Ukrainians in Alytus,’ while speaking with Ukrainians who found temporary refuge in Alytus, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania, Petro Beshta, noted.

 The guests had the opportunity to attend various cultural and therapeutic activities of the Ukrainian Center and also to receive advice from the Consul of Ukraine in Lithuania, Kyryl Smirnov, regarding obtaining documents for citizens of Ukraine or the usage of other consular services.
