The Lithuanian people are the champions of supporting Ukraine!

Yesterday, in the very heart of Vilnius, the large-scale solidarity event “Freedom Shines 2025” took place as part of the “RADAROM” fundraising campaign. This unique fundraising initiative has already raised over €5,500,000 on February 24!

Lithuanian performers, public figures, and volunteers once again called on people not to stop but to continue supporting Ukraine in its fight for freedom.

Addressing the participants, Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Olha Nikitchenko emphasized:
"You opened your homes to our people. You gave your last to help our army. You shouted about Ukraine when others were silent. You moved forward when others were afraid. You became the light that pierces through the darkest night of war. We do not have enough words to thank you. But we do know for certain—one day, we will share our victory with you."

Additionally, eleven symbolic fires were lit on Lukiškės Square to mark the 11th anniversary of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. They became a light of remembrance and a reminder of the price Ukraine pays for its freedom.

The funds raised through the “RADAROM” campaign will be used to purchase drones and anti-drone systems produced in Lithuania and Ukraine. These are the eyes of our defenders, allowing them to see the enemy first, and their shield, helping to neutralize threats. Most importantly, they mean saved lives.
